AFTERNOON WALK

After a couple days of snow, we are nearly dry and the weather is warming up once again. It's been a relaxed couple of days, which is quite nice considering how little time we've had to ourselves as of late, and how particularly difficult this week was work-wise. This afternoon we went for a walk in the bright autumn sun beside the pond near the house. It was the quiet we needed. A peaceful end to the week is just the way to begin again.

We also rented the film Bright Star over the weekend. It's the story of the last three years of English poet John Keats' life and the romance between he and Fanny Brawne. It is an exquisite film, full of beauty and great emotion. Every scene is a world in which you wish to inhabit. I cannot recommend it enough. If you happen to have seen it, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

  1. I love LOVE the film Bright Star. I saw it in 2011. It was visually inspiring for me. Afterwards, I combed the internet looking for my favorite images from it. Gosh, so beautiful. Thanks for reminding me about it.

  6. I can't believe you take these pictures with the iPhone. They are so beautiful! After I saw Bright Star I went out and read a bunch of Keats, because I couldn't help myself. I'm feeling inspired to go watch it again.

    1. Misty, we did the same. My husband was immediately inspired to put together a bookshelf we had recently bought, and unpack our poetry books which were still in boxes after our move. x
